Great movies start with great stories.
Founder Terry Ulick has been a top-selling author and publisher since 1970.
He also taught PhD-level writing, TV production and filmmaking. First producing instructional media, after selling his first publishing company to ABC, Inc., he moved to producing TV shows. Recruited to join Tribune Media, he was responsible for creating TV and movie entertainment listings and content, working with every major movie studio, TV network, and the emerging streaming industry. Understanding that both TV and movies would undergo a change due to streaming platforms, he shifted to movie making and creating new TV networks including Good Time Networks and Fantasy Realized TV. Still publishing and writing, all books he authors are intended to be made into mass-market movies. With creative and production skills that are top-par, he now develops and produces movies.
As a key figure in the development of steaming services while at Tribune, Terry Ulick feels strongly that all new content that is unlike traditional movies and TV is the next frontier for success.
Along with Wherever Books, he created Wherever Movies with a mission as precise as its name. A company creating movies wherever people want to view them. In 2004 he developed the first TV network available only on streaming platforms and offering all-original productions. That company, Good Time Networks, evolved to Fantasy Realized, now a Roku TV Channel featuring all original content, but offering new forms of programming that blend stunning images with music and narration to tell stories that feel much like reading a book. At first free to viewers, Fantasy Realized will start offering full-length movies on a per-view or subscription basis. It is also intended to promote and preview it's theatrical releases.
With a book catalog of stories all written to be made into movies, Wherever Productions is a full-fledged movie production company that can create movies, finance them, and offer titles with huge mass-market potential to major studios and production houses.
With his origins in mass-market publishing of fiction, combined with working on TV and movies data and listings, Terry Ulick has a deep understanding of what makes for a book or movie a large market will pay to experience in book or movie form.
Major works in development include the Not Taken series which is an all-out action thriller about a topic people want to know more about: Sex Trafficking. It goes past the successful "Taken" franchise and shows how traffickers work and the theme is it's better to be "Not Taken" than Taken and need to be rescued. It's a bold new take on the topic.
